The studio began in 2022 with a single commission and a single conviction — that architecture is measured not by the noise it makes on opening day, but by how gracefully it accumulates memory. From that first house on the coast, our work has grown into residences, cultural pavilions, and civic ground across three continents.
We have never been drawn to the passing image. Every project begins with a site walk, a set of constraints, and a long conversation about how a place wants to be inhabited a decade from now. The drawings come later, and the renderings later still.
What has stayed constant is a small team, a slow calendar, and a preference for materials — stone, timber, lime, brass — that improve with wear.
Four ideas we return to on every project.
Site before form
Every project begins with the ground it stands on. Orientation, light, prevailing wind, and the way people already move across the site draw the first lines — not a signature or a style.
Material honesty
We work with materials that age well and reveal how they were made. Stone stays stone; timber shows its grain; concrete carries the mark of its formwork. No finish pretends to be something it isn't.
Restraint over gesture
A room does not need to announce itself. We remove until only what belongs remains — then we trust the light, the proportion, and the material to carry the space.
Designed to be inherited
We design for the second and third owners as much as the first. A house should read as generously in thirty years as it does on day one, with details tuned to be repaired rather than replaced.
